What could a museum dedicated to trans masculine histories become?

As part of their EAF25 commission, Memory is a Museum, artist and researcher Ellis Jackson Kroese created merchandise for the fictional Museum of Trans Masculinity.

This wooden carpenter pencil bears the name of the Museum of Trans Masculinity, and is designed as a memento of the exhibition. The work is designed to be taken home — visitors become custodians; the museum expands; memory moves, lives, persists.

In the spirit of masc handiness, the flat pencil can only be sharpened using a knife or a specialist sharpener. Typically used in trades, the carpenter pencil’s square shape makes it ideal for manual tasks (or showing off the fact that you can whittle).

NB: Due to current tariffs and strike action, this item cannot be shipped to the USA or Canada.
